Brazil launches new Covid-19 'crisis committee'

After a year of often acrimonious relations between federal and local governments over Covid handling, the new committee will include members of the legislative branch, the Supreme Court, ministers, and six state governors. The federal government did not respond to questions about whether the new committee would replace a similar group composed only of federal-level officials.
